Bookkeeper/Accounting and Office Manager

Richardson based Design|Construction business looking for Full or Part-Time (3-4 days per week); Office Manager/Bookkeeper/Accounting
Individual must handle day-to-day responsibilities.
Must have previous experience working for or with the Architectural/Interior Design Trade and Must have knowledge of Construction (Design-Build/Remodel/Renovations.)  Would be an added benefit if this person was familiar with the Home-Decorative Textile industry, serving the A&D community.

Position requires answering phones, data entry, logistics coordination, filing, working with project reconciliations, accounting and budgets.
Ability to multi-task and manage with a sense of urgency.
Excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrate dependability.
Ability to work in a team environment with upbeat attitude.


  • Maintain Payroll & Commissions for showrooms, vendors, sales reps & subs
  • Payable’s, Receivables, P&L, Balance Sheets, run sales reports and Budget reports
  • Support Outside Sales Reps
  • General office coordination
  • Ordering Office supplies

Additional Responsibilities:
• Set-up and maintain project budgets
• Reconcile project files weekly to keep P/L and cost analysis in line
• Managing Construction Contracts/Change Order Administration and Invoicing/Billing
• Preliminary Notices, Lien Releases, and Insurance (Vendors, Subcontractors)
• Contract Billings (Owner/Subcontractor)

Computer Skills:
• QUICKBOOKS knowledge is a prerequisite
• Microsoft Office: (MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Power-Point, Outlook) and all other standard office equipment systems including office printers and IT issues

• Contract-1099 position.
• $12-$18 per hour depending on experience level.

Designer/Interior Architecture & Construction Sales candidate will work directly with owner and independently in and out of the field.

We’re looking for a talented project manager with marketing & sales experience, creative, collaborative, conceptual designer who brings passion and enthusiasm for conceptual thinking by crafting unique designs that encompass the experience through interior design, product design and construction practices.

We’re looking for an independent team player, someone that adds value to the company and carves out a position for advancement over the years. Goals that can fulfill positions such as Design Directors, General Managers, VP of Design/Construction, Associate Partners… you get the point.

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidate must be able to generate weekly sales call, market to businesses and prepare marketing & social media packages for commercial projects.

BA/BS required in interior design, interior architecture, architecture or construction management.

Outstanding presentation skills including verbal, written and illustrative. You’re confident and articulate.


3-5 years; emphasis on residential high-end design, space planning, finish and material selection, furniture specification and construction documents. Commercial experience is an added plus.

Must have work experience with a home-builder, interior design/architectural firm or residential/commercial general contractor.

MUST have heavy interior & architectural product & building material knowledge along with working relationship with your A&D or builder reps.

Advanced proficiency utilizing the following tools;

Pen and Paper – nothing beats a quick evocative free-hand sketch or ISO/Rendering

3D Presentation techniques, be it by hand, Sketch Up or other.


Registered Interior Designer or Interior Architect or completing registration within the next 12 months; State of Texas Certified.

Technical required

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sketchup or other 3D rendering software.

Proficiency in Publisher, Adobe Creative Suite & MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

The ideal candidate will be team oriented and an excellent communicator, (superb proficiency in written and spoken English is a must) self-motivated, and comfortable in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Employment Type: Full-Time – 1099 Contract (to start)

Compensation: Range $32K – $42K (depending on experience)
